An oyster is a natural vault, built to protect what is precious—a cinematic bridge between two shores. This shell was first enjoyed on the coast of France, then brought to my studio in the UK to serve a new purpose.
I have repurposed it to house a curated selection of tiny treasures found on my local Sussex beach — fragments of glass and stone polished by the English Channel. It is a study in textures: the rugged, calcified armor of the Atlantic meeting the quiet, weathered gems of the South Coast. A small, curated monument to the art of collecting."
